- Abstract
- This study aims to analysis embodied environmental impact of major building structural materials in South Korea and Europe, as part of study for building LCA in each regions. For this purpose, LCI DB of major building structural materials(Concrete, steel rebar, section steel) in South Korea and Europe was collected and analyzed. Especially, LCI DB was classified and characterized based on LCIA methods. Through this, 6 environmental impacts(GWP, ADP, AP, EP, ODP, POCP) basic units were deducted and difference between each LCI DB and basic units were analyzed. As a result, in case of concrete and steel rebar, ODP shows the most difference as 92%, 99%. And in case of section steel, ADP shows the most difference as 88% between LCI DB in South Korea and Europe.
