dc.description.abstract | We present a fabrication method which can improve the visibility of Cu-mesh electrodes. This was accomplished by coating CNTs on Cu-meshes via electrophoretic deposition (EPD), and then by performing post-washing of the CNTs-coated Cu-meshes. For all of the specimens, the effects of CNTs-coating and post-washing on their surface morphologies, visible-range transmittance, and reflectance were characterized. It was observed from the surface morphologies that EPD enabled the CNTs to be selectively coated on the Cu-mesh patterns. The reflectance of Cu-meshes was substantially reduced by the coating of CNTs, while their transmittance was only decreased marginally. For the CNTs-coated Cu-meshes, their reflectance was further decreased by post-washing. This was attributed to the decrease of atomic magnesium (Mg), which was incorporated in the surfactant used in the dispersion of CNTs. | - |
