- Abstract
- A plasma waveguide consisting of degenerate collisional electron is considered and characteristics features of space charge (SC) waves are investigated. The dispersion function of SC waves is analytically derived and numerically analyzed. The influence of relevant physical parameters (plasma number density, collision frequency, waveguide radius, etc) is examined on the wave frequency and damping rate. We found that the degeneracy effects drastically modify the propagation properties of SC waves.
