Abstract
In this paper, a math metical model for pulley-belt system with rigid-body motion is proposed to analyze motion of driving units and eigenvalue analysis are carried out. The pulley-belt system in this study includes a belt, two pulleys and main body which causes rigid-body motion in this system. Three linear equation of motions and eight boundary conditions are derived by using Hamilton’ s principle and discretization is done by Galerkin methods. The free vibration analysis are made for various parameters including spring constant and moving velocity. Dynamic response and complex mode shapes are analyzed to define the relation between the mode shapes and response.
