풍수 발복론의 역사적 전개와 한계성 비판

Abstract

풍수 발복론은 所主吉凶論과 同氣感應論에 바탕을 두고 있는데, 동기감응론의 어원은 孔子의 ‘同聲相應 同氣相求’에서 비롯되었다. 즉, ‘같은 소리는 서로 응하고, 같은 기는 서로를 구한다’는 논리에 근거를 두고 있는데, 모든 물질은 고유의 파장을 가지고 진동하며, 공명이론을 바탕으로 서로 교감한다는 것이다. 所主吉凶論과 동기감응론으로 부터 비롯된 풍수 발복론은 人傑은 地靈이라는 논리를 바탕으로 새로운 인식체계를 가지게 된다. 풍수는 발복론과 관련하여 독자적인 논리를 구성하기도 하지만, 도참사상과의 결합을 통해 풍수를 널리 알리고 활용성을 갖는 방편으로 삼았다. 풍수가 도참사상과 결합을 통해 생존법을 찾았던 배경에는, 각 개인의 미래에 대한 불안감 해소와 행복하고자 하는 발복론과 밀접한 관련성을 가지고 있다. 그러므로 발복론이 갖는 특징을 살펴보는 것은 그 의미가 크다. 전통적인 발복론의 사고 속에는 선을 베풀 것을 우선조건으로 제시하였다. 베푸는 자라야만 길지를 얻을 수 있고, 그 결과로 복을 누릴 수 있다는 개념을 성립시키고 있다. 선을 베풀고 그 결과로 복을 누리게 되는 과정에서 가장 핵심적인 개념으로 등장하는 것이 혈처를 통한 동기감응론의 실현이다. 특히 역대 제왕들은 대부분 풍수를 중시하였고, 풍수의 영향을 받은 황실의 건축물들은 두각을 나타내게 되었다. 따라서 풍수에서 발복론은 다양한 사고와 현실적 의미들이 복합되어 표출된 하나의 현상으로, 현실적인 삶의 터전을 확보하고자 하는 바램과 밀접하게 연결되어 있다.

The Feng shui Theory of Forture(發福論) is based on the Theory of Landowner`s Fortune(所主吉凶論) and the Identical-Qi Sympathy Theory(同氣 感應論), which word derived from ‘Tong Sheng Xiang Ying(同聲相應), Tong Qi Xiang Qiu(同氣相求)’ of Confucius(孔子). This means that the same sound responses each other and the same Qi(氣) saves each other, which all matters vibrate with intrinsic wavelength and commune each other through the Resonance Theory. The Feng shui Theory derived from the two theories was to take a new awareness system through the eminent character(人傑) and the holy energy of the earth(地靈). In Fengshui, an independent logic on the Theory of Fortune had been achieved. However, by being combined with Docham Philosophy, Fengshui could be promulgated and utilized. And in the background that Fengshui could be survived, the Theory of Fortune that might solve personal anxiety about future and promote happiness was closely related. Thus it is important to investigate the features of Theory of Fortune. Theory of Fortune traditionally encouraged to do what is good abve all. It has the concept that one who do good can take propitious site and enjoy fortune. And in the process of doing good, the most salient concept is to achieve Identical-Qi Sympathy Theory through finding acupuncture point on ground. Kings of many generations especially emphasized Fengshui, and buildings affected by Fengshui distinguished themselves. Thus, Fengshui Theory of Fortune is a kind of phenomenon that was complexly expressed with many thoughts and practical meaning, and it is related with a hope to take realistic living foundation.
