Abstract
The purpose of this study is to propose a streamlined Environmental Life Cycle Costing (ELCC) method for apartment buildings as part of development of building life cycle sustainability assessment system. To that end, the composition of ELCC was divided into the private costs and external costs, and the simplification method to evaluate each cost was suggested. For the simplification of private costs, which is inputting physically during life cycle such as the construction cost and energy cost, the major building materials of the private costs were drawn. Moreover, for the simplification of external costs related with the environmental impact, the major building materials of the environmental life cycle assessment were drawn, and the external costing method was proposed using KOLID which is the Korea end-point LCA methodology. As a result, it was possible that proposal of the equations of private costs and external costs of apartment buildings for ELCC.
