Abstract
To understand the functions, interrelationships and interactions of BIM and FM, the BIM data generation procedures are presented to derive the BIM data required at the design stage and to ensure that the BIM data produced is efficiently shared by the construction entity. BIM data entry items required for facility operation and maintenance are designed to manage attribute information from project, unit facilities, and site to minimum absence using Object Breakdown Structure (OBS), an object classification system that connects geometric and non-geometric data requirements. The code numbers for each category were specified so that all participants of the project could share the data efficiently by assigning a common number to identify various data and documents. In addition, the object classification system automatically extracts the information needed for facility management from the completed model by adding the identification property information, manufacturing property information, installation property information, geometry property information, and inspection property information for each object. In this study, the classification code was assigned and the object attribute information required in the design phase proposed earlier as a prerequisite for the effective use of Life Cycle BIM. Subsequently, the information classification system was applied to individual objects to support practical activities by utilizing the object classification system and attribute classification system.
