- Abstract
- Device to Device (D2D) communication has been identified as potential technology for future cellular networks. It has been proposed as a mean of taking advantage of the physical proximity of communicating devices, increasing resource utilization, and improving cellular coverage and overall throughput. In this paper we propose a resource allocation and transmit power control scheme in the uplink for D2D communication underlaying LTE advanced cellular networks. In the proposed scheme, the D2D user equipment (DUE) has to request a session establishment for D2D pairs. In order to protect the cellular user equipment (CUE) that shares the same resource block with DUE. Before DUE transmits, it has to know the channel status of the CUE which it is going to use the resources of CUE. Then the DUE will choose the transmit power based on the status of CUE provided by the Base Station (BS) in order to avoid the interference.
