- Abstract
- 1733년 지금의 오키나와의 게라마섬에 표착한 조선 표류민의 표착경위, 소지품, 배의 상태 등 구체적인 실상을 류큐왕국의 공식문서인 류큐왕국 평정소문서를 분석하여 밝혔다. 특히 11인 승선 전원의 신원을 파악한 점이 논문의 성과라고 볼 수 있다. 그리고 이들에 대한 류큐왕국의 대응을 다양한 측면에서 조사하였다. 체재장소, 표류민에게 대한 대우, 지급물품을 구체적으로 확인하였고 이들이 어떠한 경로를 통하여 본국으로 송환되었는 지 살펴보았다. 마지막으로 이들의 표류가 고의에 의하였을 가능성에 대하여도 규명하고자 하였다.
