Abstract
In a Cognitive radio mobile network (CRMN), the Cognitive mobile user (CMU) opportunistically operates in the frequency band originally dedicated to the primary network, when the primary network is inactive. With the growing concern about environmental issues and emerging green communication paradigm, CRMN has to be considered from energy perspective as well. In this paper a scheme on selecting the CMUs for sensing with reference to reporting channel is presented. Performance analysis show an increased in transmission time and energy efficiency for the proposed scheme.
