- Abstract
- This study aim at analysing visual characteristics of reading room and other spaces in children's library by analysing Visibility Graph Analysis which is the method to evaluate organization of space and visual relationship of space based on isovist area. The following facts are the results of the study. Children's libraries have been studied revealed low openness on the lounge which is the extended part of the building, whereas extended breast-feeding room is not used actively because it revealed high openness. In D library, the reading room for infants has low Visual Clustering Coefficient and has not worked efficiently, because of the position of the room and interior arrangement of furniture. In that respect, to improve the situation the reading room's connection and placement of wall for the furniture can be suggested. Also, the breast-feeding room can be placed in reading room for infants. Practicing in the lecture rooms invigorated in these days, so active corridor space where has high Visual Integration & low Visual Clustering Coefficient and the reading room where shows unclosed spatial characteristic in Visual Connectivity should be separated for visitor's effective using in children's library.
