- A smart grid is an advanced electrical grid that recently has been the biggest issue in the world’s utility industry. The smart grid provides the electrical charges on an hourly basisfor the efficient use of existing energy. It can control the electricity consumption on basis of the hourly changes in the electricity tariff, depending on the customer electricity demand.
