『붉은 돼지』에 나타난 캐릭터와 텍스트의 의미구조 분석-기호학적 분석을 중심으로-

Abstract

미야자키 하야오는 신작 애니메이션 <바람이 분다> 발표 후 은퇴를 선언하였다. 세계 제 2차 대전의전범의 일대기를 전쟁과 비행, 그리고 사랑이라는 관점에서 바라보는 <바람이 분다>는 <붉은 돼지> 이후 전쟁과 비행이라는 메인 테마를 현실적 관점으로묘사하고 있다. 그의 작품 중 애니메이션 <붉은 돼지> 이외에는 실제 사건 및 인물, 명확한 시대적 배경을 모티브로 삼은 작품은 거의 없었다. 본 연구에서는 신작 애니메이션 <바람이 분다>를분석하기 전 선행 연구로 미야자키 하야오가 처음으로 전쟁과 비행을 메인 테마로 다룬 애니메이션 <붉은 돼지>의 서사 구조 및 갈등관계에 대한 체계를 롤랑바르트의 신화론적 분석을 통해 주인공 포르코의캐릭터의 중의적인 의미를 분석하고 서사구조에서 보여 지는 갈등관계를 기호학적 분석방법인 통합체와계열체 분석을 통해 구조적인 시각으로 재조명하고,재해석 하였다. 통합체 분석을 통해 애니메이션 <붉은 돼지>의 서사적 시점을 중심으로 전개구조를 분석하였고 계열체 분석과 롤랑 바르트의 신화론적 분석을 통해 등장인물의 갈등관계를 파악하고 주요 텍스트의 이중적 의미를 분석하였다. 애니메이션 <붉은 돼지>에서 미야자키 하야오가 선택한 ‘돼지’의 기호학적 의미는 중년의 자신을 표현한단어라는 것과 국가, 민족, 가족, 사랑으로부터 탈주하고 싶은 욕망의 표현이었다는 것이다. 기호학의 계열체적 분석에서 갈등구조를 분석해 보면, 사랑하는 친구와전우의 죽음을 보면서 자기만 살아남았다는 회한과 죄책감으로 스스로 돼지가 되어 삶을 살아가고 있는 포르코의 내적 갈등과 외적 갈등요인 분석을 토대로 시대의 낭만과 영웅의 신비주의적 관점을 언어적 텍스트로 분석이 가능하였다. 마지막 장면에서 포르코가 인간으로돌아왔는지 아닌지에 대하여서는 아직 객관적 해석이더 필요하지만, 피오의 마지막 비밀이라는 부분에서 지나와 포르코의 모습은 찾아볼 수 없음으로 인간으로 돌아온 포르코와 포르코를 기다렸던 지나의 모습을 상상할 수 있었다. 하지만 작가의 자전적인 부분에서 전쟁에 대한 혐오와 국가관에 대한 부분은 20년이 지나 발표한 애니메이션 <바람이 분다>의 후속 연구에서 함께 재조명해야 할 부분이다.

Miyazaki Hayao retired after the announcement of the new animation , it is a story about a person who is war Criminal of the Second World War, And have to look in terms of the war, flight, and love. The animation has been described the main theme of war and the flight as a realistic point of view since . In his work, animation is only have a motif with a real events and a obvious historical background. The study make a analyze about the main theme for the war and the flying about Miyazaki Hayao`s animation before the animation analyzed. The main analyze method of this article is to analyze the narrative structure of and the characteristic features of Porco, is based on semiotic approach, followed by Roland Barthes` theory of myths, Syntagma and Paradigmatic analysis. In this animation , The word pig who was selected by Miyazaki Hayao, have a meaning to expressing Miyazaki Hayao himself of the middle age. Also, as Semiotic significance it was a word that expressed their national, ethnic, family, love and the desire to escape from the expression of the will was. In the Paradigmatic analysis conflict structure, Porco have remorse and guilt with his friend`s death, and he is lived the life to the pig. Porco have a internal conflict and external conflict factors. Through this conflict factors, It was possible by analyzing the linguistic text. In the last scene, It is still required Objective analysis that Porco had recovered or not to his human look. but when Pio speak to look back toward that time to Adriatic Sea, They could not see Porco again. Through this study, It should be reviewed to analyze the animation which released after 20 years from as it delivers Hayao`s anti-war voice.
