- Abstract
- Today, Korean funeral culture has changed from burial to cremation. The several factors have caused the rate of cremation rapidly from 38.5% in 2001 to 67.5% in 2010. In the past, crematoriums single crematorium or complex of single crematorium and charnel house crematorium, charnel house and funeral. However, funeral facilities are now designed with a combination of crematorium, charnel house and funeral. This study aims to the relation facilities analyzing circulation of and architectural arrangement of complex funeral facilities that managed in 2012 and will be built in 2013. This thesis aims a new architectural planning model for complex funeral facilities in Korea.
