한국에 거주하는 외국인이주노동자의 문화변용과 스포츠 참가

Abstract

본 연구는 Gómez(2002a, 2006)의 EPRP 모형(The Ethnicity and Public Recreation Participation Model)을 이론적 틀로 하여 한국사회에 거주하는 외국인 이주노동자의 문화변용과 스포츠 참가 간의 인과관계를 경험적으로 분석하는 것을 주된 목적으로 하였다. 2011년 현재 경기도에 거주하는 외국인 이주노동자를 모집단으로 설정하고, 목적표집법을 이용하여 총 308부의 설문지를 최종 분석에 사용하였다. 요인 간 인과관계 규명을 위하여 구조방정식모형분석을 실시한 결과 문화변용은 사회경제적 수준과 하위문화정체성에 각각 부적(-)인 영향을 주었고, 스포츠 참가에 대한 직접적인 영향의 관점에서 하위문화정체성은 사회경제적 수준보다 더 큰 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 지각된 이익은 사회경제적 수준이 스포츠 참가에 미치는 영향에서 완전매개의 역할을 하며, 하위문화정체성이 스포츠 참가에 미치는 영향에서는 부분매개의 역할을 하는 것으로 나타났다. 반면에 사회경제적 수준이나 하위문화정체성 모두에서 지각된 차별의 매개효과는 나타나지 않았다.

The main purpose of this study was to experientially analyze the causal relationship between acculturation and sport participation of foreign migrant workers living in the Korean society, using the EPRP Model by Gómez (20-02a, 2006). Foreign migrant workers residing in Gyeonggi Province as of 2011 were selected as subjects. Purposive sampling was used, and a total of 308 surveys were used in the final analysis. As a result of performing structu- ral equation modeling in order to examine the causal relationship between factors, acculturation had a negative (-) influence on socioeconomic status and subcultural identity. In terms of a direct influence on sport participa- tion, subcultural identity showed a greater influence compared to socioeconomic status. In addition, perceived b-enefit takes the role of complete mediation with the effect of socioeconomic status on sport participation, and the role of partial mediation with the effect of subcultural identity on sport participation. In contrast, the mediation effect of perceived discrimination was not shown in either socioeconomic status or subcultural identity.
