dc.description.abstractThis paper presents a characteristic method for a spiral inductor. The spiral inductor is modeled with single-pi and double-pi. Then the circuit model parameters are determined from layout dimensions. Test patterns are designed and fabricated on GaAs substrate. S-parameters are measured by using VNA(Vector Network Analyzer) in 50㎒ to 10㎓. Then the model accuracy is verified with measurement data, and field solver(HFSS). The results show that double-pi equivalent circuit shows excellent agreement with measurement data.-
