Abstract
Constructability has been recognized as one of the important issues with the definition of the concept, but there are difficulties due to the characteristics unique to the construction industry. The construction industry is a more complex industry than other sectors, such as the size of data, the variety of formats, and the continuity caused by different actors. Recently, various studies are being conducted to solve these problems using BIM. In this paper, based on the case of Singapore which is quantitatively evaluating the constructability and introducing it to the system, the basic research of domestic introduction was conducted. The authors reviewed the possibility of converting Singapore's constructability appraisal system developed based on 2D drawings into an open BIM-based process and studied items that could reflect the domestic construction situation. Addition and supplementation of evaluation items, verification process of practitioners and system development will be in progress.
