- Abstract
- An aerosol electrical mobility spectrum analyzer (AEMSA) that consists of saturator, mobility analyzer, condenser, and position detector is newly devised. This device can detect charged particle electrical mobility spectrum regardless of its polarity without electrical scanning procedure in nanometer size range. The performance of AEMSA is tested with equilibrium charging state particles using soft X-ray neutralizer and Am-241 radioactive source and compared with the approximated Fuchs model (Wiedensohler, 1988) and Boltzmann prediction. The result shows the approximated Fuchs model predicts better for neutralized nano-particles. (C) 2010 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
