- Abstract
- The purpose of this study is to find out whether the sports addiction self-test inventoryl, which is developed for amateur sports participants, is applicable to elite players by evaluating reliability and validity. The result of correlation analysis revealed that out of entire 19 questions, in 8 questions of “mental problem”, the size range of correlation was .014~.079 and in 5 questions of “withdrawal symptom”, that was .000~.000, so 2 questions were excluded because they did not meet the standard. For the factor of sports addiction self-test measure, the measure with 3 factors were selected. No questions were deleted. Entire explained variance of 3 factors was 68.869% so it was very good. The result of verifying the reliance of each factor of sports addiction self-test tool revealed that as shown in <Table 4>, Cronbach's α value was from minimum .744 to maximum .935 so internal consistency was secured between measurement variables. It was interpreted that the size of average correlation coefficient(absolute value) was small so each measure was not affected by the demographic characteristic of each study target. Therefore, it can be said that the validity of sports addiction self-test tool was secured.
