- Abstract
- This paper presents the design process of transverse flux switched reluctance generator (TFSRG) for low speed application with reduced total weight and volume. The characteristics such as generating power of TFSRG are compared with radial flux switched reluctance generator (RFSRG) through the design result and 3D finite element method (FEM). As a result, TFSRG can reduce the weight and volume as 16% comparing with RFSRG. © 2010 IEEE.
