- Abstract
- The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of organizational commitment on turnover intention in sports organization through meta–analysis. A total of 18 studies were selected and analyses were conducted using the CMA(Comprehensive Meta Analysis). The results of the study are as follows.
First, the total effect size of organizational commitment on turnover intention in sports organization was confirmed as a high. In addition, the influence of affective commitment was greatest among the sub-factors of organizational commitment, and the effect size was shown in order of normative commitment and continuance commitment. Second, in terms of influence according to type, the effect size in the working organization was highest, followed by the team, sports education. Third, though the meta-regression analysis based on the ratio of males did not confirm the validity between organizational commitment and turnover intention as a whole, the validity was analyzed for affective commitment and continuance commitment. Based on the results of this study, it has been confirmed that organizational commitment is an important variable to reduce the degree of turnover intention that may occur in sports organizations, among which the need to seek the maximization of affective commitment has been demonstrated.
