- Abstract
- One of the greatest challenges faced by the automotive industry in terms of market expansion of electric vehicles is finding ways to expand the extent to which these vehicles can travel on a single charge. Both the manufacturers of batteries and electric vehicles are developing battery cells and modules by combining various techniques in order to increase the driving range on a single charge. The development of battery packs requires further processes and technologies to be installed on the target electric vehicles after the development of the battery cell and module. However, the development period takes a lot of time. The existing electric vehicle charge mileage assessment was possible only in the presence of an electric vehicle or battery pack. This study proposes a method to evaluate the driving distance on a single charge by the target electric vehicle only through the battery module that was developed before either the specification of the battery pack or the electric vehicle was determined. In order to validate the proposed method, one electric vehicle was selected. The driving distance of the selected vehicle on a single charge was compared with that of the battery module of the selected vehicle.
