Abstract
In order to achieve excellent results in the world competitions when world's gymnasts' performances have reached equalization due to the development in their potentials and abilities, it is a must-achieve goal to provided both the national gymnast and his coach preparing for 2012 London Olympics the diverse yet unique investigation of performance through scientific analysis and professional technique guidance. In 2007's 28th World Gymnastics Competition, 8 gymnasts who performed in the Finals (the third round) for Parallel Bars were investigated by 6 international referees using recorded video and scoring regulation. These gymnasts performed Level D 42 times 9 varieties of techniques and 5.25±0.89 in average showing their preference in this level while Level E was the second most preferred level 8 varieties of techniques and 3.00±0.93 in average where it was performed 24 times. On the other hand, only 4 gymnasts tried the most difficult Level F for 4 times 1 variety of technique and 0.50±0.53 in average, making it the least preferred. It was proven that gymnasts try their best to successfully perform difficult level performance in order to achieve high starting score and thus increase their chances of winning the gold medal.
