유아의 시간 부사어 발달에 관한 연구

Abstract

이 연구는 32개월부터 43개월까지 유아들의 발화를 종적으로 관찰하여 시간 부사어 발달 과정을 살펴보았다. 그 결과, 가장 많이 사용한 것은 시점을 나타내는 부사어였으며, 다음으로 속도, 반복, 기간, 과정의 순서를 나타내는 부사어 순으로 사용 빈도가 높게 나타났다. 부사어 중에서도 현재를 나타내는 부사어가 가장 빨리 출현하고, 과거나 미래를 표현하는 부사어도 현재와 가까운 것이 먼저 발달한다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 또한 시간적 지속성을 나타내는 부사어보다는 시간적 지속성을 가지지 않는 부사어가 먼저 발달했고, 상대적으로 긴 기간을 나타내는 부사어보다는 짧은 기간을 나타내는 부사어를 더 빨리 습득하는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 과정의 순서를 나타내는 부사어에서는 ‘중간에, 도중에’ 등의 과정보다는 ‘먼저, 나중에’ 등의 양극에 있는 시점을 더 먼저 인식하는 것으로 보인다.

This study vertically observed the utterance of Young children from 32-month-old to 43-month-old and examined the appearance aspect of the adverbs of time in their utterance. According to the results, the most used adverbs mean a point in time followed by speed, repetition, period, and the order of process. It showed that adverbs representing present appear earliest and adverbs representing past or future near present are developed earlier than adverbs. Also, adverbs without temporal duration are developed earlier than adverbs with temporal duration. And in case of the adverbs showing the order of process, it seemed that Young children recognize a point of time at the both ends such as ‘first, later’ more easily than process such as ‘in the middle of, on one's way’.
