- Abstract
- In the spring of 1644 a group of Japanese merchants and sailors was shipwrecked on the coast of Manchuria. The survivors were taken to Shenyang an Beijing, then repatriated through Korea to Japan. After returning to their homeland they reported their adventures to authorities of the Bakuhu, Later nd deited version of this account focusing on ter experiences in Korea was published as Chosen Monogatari. I study the publication of the book and the progress of the study history about it in this article.
