dc.description.abstract | We investigate how the slope efficiency of the electroabsorption modulator (EAM) affects the maximum RF power available from the radio-over-fiber link. By using the large signal analysis, we obtain the maximum RF power of the link from the RF signal distorted by the nonlinearity of the EAM transfer function. We show that the maximum RF power available from the link does not depend on the modulator slope efficiency. | - |
