dc.description.abstract | Passive picocells using radio-over-fiber (RoF) links with the electroabsorption modulators (EAMs) as optical transceivers have been considered as good candidates for distributing high-speed data in confined areas like office buildings and department stores. In this study, we estimate the maximum RF power available from the RoF link with a consideration of the maximum input RF power to the EAM and the nonlinearity of the EAM transfer function. | - |
