ICT 산업의 연구개발투자 파급효과분석

Abstract

본 논문에서는 ICT산업의 연구개발투자가 여타 산업의 생산성향상에 어느 정도 기여하였는지를 분석하였다. 1990년~2005년 기간 18개 산업을 대상으로 패널자료를 구축하였으며 파급효과를 분석하였다. 분석결과 ICT 산업의 연구개발투자가 여타산업의 생산성을 향상시키는 파급효과가 존재함을 확인할 수 있었는데 특히 외환위기 이전이 이후에 비하여 파급효과가 컸음을 확인할 수 있었다. 산업별로는 ICT 고 이용 산업보다는 저 이용 산업에 집중되었음을 확인할 수 있었다.

Our study aims to analyze the impact of R&D investment of ICT industries on the growth of other industries. Using panel data for 18 industries over 1990-2005, we investigate R&D spillover effects of ICT industries. The empirical results are summarized as follows. First, R&D investment of ICT industries plays a significant role on the growth of other industries. Second, its spillover effects is more important in first period (1990-1997) than second period (1998-2005). We observe the significant positive impact of R&D spillovers on the productivity of ICT low-using industries, while these effects are insignificant in ICT high-using industries over the whole period.
