- Abstract
- The quality-based channel-state reporting (QBR) that prevents the users with signal strength below a threshold from sending feedback induces a fairness problem in non-identically distributed fading channels. This letter extends QBR so as to achieve a fair throughput among users to whom different values of the threshold are assigned. With numerical investigation, the proposed extension is shown to achieve both multiuser diversity and a near absolute fairness where all the users have the same individual throughput.
