- Abstract
- The concept of multidisciplinary design optimization (MDO) has been addressed to solve optimization problems with multiple disciplines. Conventional optimization generally solves the problems with a single discipline. Disciplines are coupled in MDO problems. Many MDO methods have been proposed. The methods are classified and some representative methods are introduced. The advantages and drawbacks of each method are described and discussed. © 2007 by World Scientific Publishing Co. Pte. Ltd.
