- Abstract
- The Genre painting on which this article focuses is a from of painting that seeks to depict daily life scenes of varioussocial classes that take place in natural as well as social setting. Genre painting, based on actual historical events, can also function as an official record. This article is a comparative study of Hong-do Kim and Yun-Bok Shin, the two great genre painters of the late Chosun.
