- Abstract
- The purpose of this study was to identify the effect of recovery time on the trunk muscle fatigue
during dynamic lifting and lowering. Ten subjects participated in the experiment. 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 minutes
recovery time were given respectively during repetitive lifting and lowering with a weight equal to 25%
level of individual MVC. EMG signals were collected from six trunk muscles and the level of fatigue was
analyzed. As results, the accumulation of local muscle fatigue was stabilized after 4 to 5 minutes recovery
time was used although different trunk muscles showed slightly different responses. This result could be
used as a reference to design the work/rest cycle or recovery time to control cumulative fatigue of the
trunk muscle in industry with repetitive lifting and lowering task.
