- Abstract
- Teaching Games For Understanding(TGFU) model was tested on elementary school 6th graders in golf classes. A testing device, made from the help of a professional and psychological questionnaire, is used to evaluate the skills, the satisfaction, and the interests students have gained. The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of exercise program in participating attitude scale as well as their ability to perform on real games. Then, the result was compared with before and after taking golf classes. If using teaching games for understanding model changes process of the students, then it will provide helpful information on making detailed ideas of how to teach students better. As a result, the developed TGFU will allow students to have better GPAs. Although the model seemed to have more effects on physical education classes, the TGFU was found to have greater effects on intrinsic motivation, physical activity enjoyment, exercise adherence, and performance on a game. Thus, TGFU is more effective in P.E. than traditional teaching method since the goal of the physical education is to enable students to play sports for their life.
