A Study on Symbolic Similarity of Icon Shown Web Graphic

Abstract

The user can be satisfied when the visualized icon accurately has the substance of the contents. The purpose of communication design can be transmitted accurately. It is developing the interpreted message, and is drawing out appropriate behavior from the receiver of the message. So, it is very important in visualizing the icon production as a sign. Even the 3 year-old Korean kids participate in internet utilization, so the number designing web site will increase furthermore. If so, it will not provide effective interface also in utilization and will cause confusion and inconvenience, instead. We suggested the check list to deduce effective icons and intend to provide desirous icons in symbolic aspect and satisfy aesthetic feature and perceptual aspects before we provide replenish information. We wish it can perform the assistant role in evaluation which lacked objective basis till now in the judgment of icon similarity of web graphic. So this study is to contribute to the communication participa仕ng in the consciousness structure of the users through icon's symbolic participation, change, classification and paradigm that are shown on the graphic in the web among many symbolic factors and enables the understanding in interactive communication. Moreover, it aims at looking into the icon which shows up on the web graphic as the prestudy to grasp the understanding structures through the utilization of efficient signal system in the web space. With classifying it into the conceptual element and color element, form element and relations element of the icon for basic investigation, we wish it will also help in icon production course.
