제품디자인의 현실감에 있어 가상현실(VR)의 적합성 연구

Abstract

오늘날의 기업들은 세계화 시대의 격렬한 무한 경쟁에 노출되어 큰 어려움을 겪고 있다. 과거 많은 기업들은 합리적인 가격에 맞는 적절한 품질을 제공하는데 노력해 왔다. 하지만 지금은 가격이나 품질보다 먼저 보는 것이 제품의 디자인이라 할 수 있다.그러나 디자이너가 개발 담당자와 커뮤니케이션하는 과정에서 그의 디자인 안을 제시하는 경우 디자인의 현실감을 많이 요구하고 있다이런 문제들은 제품디자인 방향 결정시 서로간의 효율적인 커뮤니케이션을 방해하는 요인으로 작용하며, 시간과 노력을 많이 요구하는데, 이런 문제점을 해결할 수 있는 것이 VR을 이용한 방법일 것이다. VR은 제품디자인의 현실감을 잘 나타낼 수 있으며, 더 효율적인 커뮤니케이션을 할 수 있어 디자인의 시간과 노력을 줄일 수 있다.본 논문에서는 VR의 현실감 차이를 알아보고, 디자이너가 디자인 안을 제시하여 더 효율적인 커뮤니케이션을 할 수는 도구인지를 제시하려고 한다.

Today, enterprises have great difficulties in the ruthless competition of globalization. In the past, lots of them concentrated on reasonable price and appropriate quality. However, product design seems to be now more important than price and quality, so enterprises see design as a factor for their survival and success. However, current design tools lack in the reality sense of design, which functions as a deterrent against efficient communication between designers and developers, requiring much time and effort. This problem can be solved by VR, which well represents the reality sense of product design and enables to make a more efficient communication, reducing time and effort. This study shows VR is a tool with which designers can express reality sense and make a more efficient communication with developers.
