- Abstract
- A small size GaAs (MMIC) receiver chip of 1.11 x 1.1 rum has been developed for the use with of (PCS) handphones, consisting of a low noise amplifier (LNA), a low distortion mixer, intermediate frequency (IF) amplifier, with GaAs E.D-MESFET technology, the fabricated receiver MMIC operates at a 3 V single bias supply and a very low 16.7 mA current dissipation. The noise figure of the tow noise amplifier is 2 dB. The total receiver conversion gain and input third order intercept point of 14 dB and a 2.3 dBm have been achieved, respectively.
