dc.description.abstractA new computational method has been developed to analyze electromagnetic wave reflections and transmissions at discontinuous interfaces of complicated waveguide structures that is accurate within the limit of scalar wave approximation. This formalism shows good agreement with the solution of a known simple problem, but the strength of the method lies in the capability of the formalism to handle complicated structures which other methods fail to apply.-
