- Abstract
- In this letter, we show that superposition transmission (SuT) with optimal power and rate allocation achieves zero intercept probability (IP) without assuming infinite signal-to-noise power ratio and furthermore without significant sacrifice of the secrecy performance. This letter also provides tradeoff relationships between IP and outage probability of data signals and between IP and ergodic data rate, respectively. With numerical investigation, it is shown that the proposed SuT with the zero IP does not significantly degrade the performances from the information transmission that allows certain positive IP.
