- Abstract
- The purpose of this study is to investigate and to analyze on the difference between the real distance and the distance by visual illusion of pro(KPGA, KLPGA) and amateur golfers in Golf Course. Fifteen pro and amateur golfers, respectively, as the subjects, were selected for the research.
As the results of the study come up with the following conclusions: Firstly, there are very significant differences between the group of the visual distance measure (5.32±2.35) and the group of the distance informed by supplements(2.58±.713) of pro golfers in 60m hole(p<.001).
Secondly, there are very significant differences between the group of the visual distance measure (18.08±6.26) and the group of the distance informed by supplements(10.10±2.37) of amateur golfers in 60m hole(p<.000).
Thirdly, there are very significant differences between the group of the visual distance measure (8.80±2.57) and the group of the distance informed by supplements(3.88±1.24) of pro golfers in 120m hole(p<.000).
Fourthly, there are significant differences between the group of the visual distance measure (19.46±7.11) and the group of the distance informed by supplements(12.23±1.69) of amateur golfers in 120m hole(p<.002).
To sum up, we concluded that there are statistically significant differences between eyes visual distance measure and the distance informed by supplements, all together, in pro and amateur golfers at short and long distances of golf courses between inter and intra groups, respectively.
