Abstract
Induction motors are now widely used as motor vehicles for railway vehicles. Although simulations are used for accurate performance prediction, either mechanical and stray losses are not reflected in the analysis or experience constants are used in most cases. In this paper, analytical precision was improved by separating each loss through tests for loss and by correcting torque by reflecting mechanical loss and stray loss. Finally, results were verified through finite element analysis (FEM). © 2019 The Korean Society for Railway. All rights reserved.
