- Abstract
- The purposes of this were to propose the effective teaching methodologies through smart devices(application) in middle school physical education and to provide new physical education curriculum in order to motivate students to be physically active through enthusiastic participation. In this study, eight male middle school students who were at the after school basketball classes utilizing smart devices were recruited and after the classes, in depth interviews with the participants were conducted.
The results are follows; First, students ' interests in the classes with smart devices appeared higher than the traditional physical education classes. Second, it was confirmed that smart education was able to develop in physical education like other subjects. Also, various sports exercises in physical education had been found to be able to develop effective physical education classes and motivate the students to be physically active.
And third, for the smooth smart physical education, it was necessary to expand the supplies of public smart devices and expand facilities.
