- Abstract
- Induction motors are the most commonly used motors for railway vehicles. However, most design-related papers rely on accumulated experience constants. However, this method has limitations and is not suitable for recently required high efficiency motor design. In this paper, we design a highly efficient induction motor with high output density by designing the induction electromotive force equation of the induction motor with the equivalent serial number of turns and the air gap flux density for the accurate stator major dimension design without using the conventional output constant. We also analyzed the tendency of various design parameters. © 2018 The Korean Society for Railway. All rights reserved.
