- Abstract
- The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship among fun factors of physical education (PE), academic stress, and school life satisfaction. A total of 165 1st and 2nd-year female high school students participated in this current study. To collect the data, three questionnaires measuring three were used. The correlation coefficient(r), frequency analysis, and multiple regression were performed by using SPSS 22.0. The analysis founds the followings. First, the fun factor was negatively correlated with academic stress and was positively correlated with school life satisfaction. Also, academic stress and school life satisfaction were negatively correlated. Second, friendship socialization showed a significant impact on five elements (grade stress, class stress, study stress, career stress, interpersonal satisfaction).
Third, physical fitness had a significant impact on the school rules and the satisfaction of special activities. Also, social support was significantly influenced by friendship satisfaction. The results of this study suggest that the fun factors of PE influences female high school students’ academic stress and school life satisfaction positively. Based on the results, it is suggested that the fun factor in PE should be increased to reduce female high school students’ academic stress and enhance their satisfaction with school life.
