학교부적응 청소년이 지각하는 학교의 생태학적 환경에 대한 질적 연구

Abstract

본 연구는 학교부적응 청소년들이 지각하는 학교의 생태학적 환경에 대하여 알아보기 위해 학교부적응 고등학생 8명을 대상으로 일대일 심층면담을 진행했으며, 수집된 자료는 합의적 질적 분석 방법(CQR)으로 분석하였다. 분석 결과는 2개의 영역, 9개의 범주, 15개의 하위범주와 54개의 핵심개념으로 분류되었다. 먼저 ‘학교부적응 청소년이 지각하고 경험한 학교의 생태학적 환경’ 영역에서 볼 때, 상당수의 청소년들은 학교 주변 환경이 일탈에 큰 영향을 미친다고 지각하였고 학교 시설이 학교적응에 미치는 영향력은 낮다고 보고하였다. 매점의 부재도 일탈에 영향을 미치는 것으로 보고하였고, 교사와의 관계 및 친구와의 관계 또한 학교생활에 큰 영향을 미치는 것으로 분석되었다. 엄격한 규칙은 학교생활에 도움이 되기도 하지만 동시에 이들은 벌점제도에 부당함을 느끼는 것으로 나타났다. 수업의 과목 및 시수는 학교생활에 영향을 미치지 않았다고 보고하였다. ‘학교부적응 청소년이 기대하는 학교의 생태학적 환경’의 영역에서는 물리적 환경, 사회적 관계, 학교규칙, 학교의 체계의 영역들이 나타났다. 본 연구를 통해 학교부적응 학생들이 경험한 학교의 생태학적 환경에 대한 지각을 보다 깊이 있게 조명하여 이들의 주변 환경에 대한 지각 및 기대를 확인하고 이에 대한 상담 및 교육적 시사점을 제시하였다.

This study investigates the ecological environment of schools perceived, experienced, and expected by adolescents with school maladjustment issues. For data collection, one-on-one in-depth interviews were conducted with eight high school students, experiencing maladjustment to school. Interviews were analyzed using the Consensual Qualitative Research (CQR) method. The interview data were classified into 10 categories, 15 subcategories, and 54 core concepts in two areas: (a) the ecological environments perceived and experienced by students and (b) those expected by students. Expanded on previous studies, findings of this study will assist educators, counseling professionals, and researchers in more comprehensively understanding the students’ school life, particularly, in relation to school maladjustment and in developing appropriate interventions for the students.
