- Abstract
- The study focuses on “Neutrality of Typical Plan” which is proposed to accommodate the congested reality created by the density of capital and population in Manhattan by Rem Koolhaas. In Europe, not just in Manhattan, there was universal space that could accommodate the rapidly changing demand of user. The universal space, however, pursues traditional values, while the Typical Plan does not pursue any value. This study will clarify neutrality of Typical Plan by comparing these two concepts based on the four values; structure, space, proportion, expression of material.
