Abstract
The technology related to virtual reality has been investigated and developed, the system for applying the acoustical characteristics of specific room and virtual space also proposed and developed. The characteristic of specific space can represent as one signal, called 'impulse response'. In real world, capturing impulse response through the measurement is usual method, however in virtual situation, computer simulation based on 'image source method' or 'image source method' is used for generating impulse response in virtual space, especially the 'ray tracing' is used for generating the reverberant part of impulse response, which is very important for sound generation. In this study, from modelling the virtual space with matlab code to generating the impulse response in virtual space is suggested and compared with various types of impulse response based on time, room data etc.
