- Abstract
- In future information warfare, UAV will be used for surveillance and reconnaissance. Military equipment typically has a built-in positioning device such as a GPS. There have been many studies on a position-based routing protocol, using real-time location information. In this paper, we propose an advanced geographic routing protocol which is based on the geographic routing protocol with enhanced mechanisms, and design a scenario based on a three-dimensional image informational network between multiple UAVs and ground equipment. In this scenario, we evaluate the performance of our routing protocol and the geographic routing protocol. The simulation results show that the performance of our routing protocol is superior to that of the geographic routing protocol in terms of the packet delivery ratio, end-to-end delay, and routing traffic sent.
