SOA와 클라우드 컴퓨팅의 다측면 비교

Abstract

Service Oriented Architecture(SOA) and Cloud Computing(CC) are considered as core concepts in enterprise IT management. However, there exist different understandings and confusion on the relationship of two concepts in practices. To help clear understanding of two concepts, the paper provides the comparision of SOA and CC based on a multi-facetted framework. The multi-facetted comparison framework consists of 3+1 perspectives: architecture, technology, business, and overall perspective. Based on multi-facetted comparison of two concepts, we try to provide implications and suggestions on how to utilize the concepts cooperatively to advance enterprise information systems. In business perspective, SOA and CC pursue different goals in terms of IT resources management strategy. However, two concepts can give benefits mutually. In technical perspective, current standards and technologies of SOA can be applied to enhance the technical level of CC.

서비스 지향 아키텍처(Service Oriented Architecture, SOA)와 클라우드 컴퓨팅(Cloud Computing)은 기업 정보기술 관리에서 핵심적인 개념으로 인식되고 있지만, 두 개념의 관계에 대한 상이한 이해와 혼동이 존재하고 있는 상황이다. 따라서 이 두 개념에 대한 이해를 돕기 위해서 본 논문은 SOA와 클라우드 컴퓨팅의 다측면 비교를 제시하고 있다. 다측면 비교 프레임워크는 아키텍처, 기술, 비즈니스, 그리고 전체적 관점의 3+1 관점으로 구성되어 있다. 서비스 지향 아키텍처와 클라우드 컴퓨팅의 다측면 비교를 바탕으로 기업정보시스템의 향상을 위해서 두 개념이 어떻게 협력적으로 활용될 수 있는지에 대한 시사점을 제공하고자 하였다. 비즈니스 측면에서 서비스 지향 아키텍처와 클라우드 컴퓨팅은 IT 자원 관리 전략 차원에서 상이한 목표들을 가지고 있지만, 두 개념은 상호 도움을 줄 수 있다. 기술적 측면에서 SOA의 현재 표준들과 기술들이 클라우드 컴퓨팅의 기술적 수준을 향상시키는 데 적용될 수 있다.
