의사소통을 위한 듣기 지도 이론과 수업 설계

Abstract

이 논문은 제2언어 듣기 이해에 관한 크라센(Krashen 1977), 브라운(Brown 2001), 오마지오(Omaggio 2001)의 이론을 검토한 다음, 듣기 지도 수업을 어떻게 설계해야 할지, 듣기 능력을 향상시키기 위한 효과적인 과업이 무엇인지를 제시한다. 이 논문은 학습자가 입말의 특성과 듣기 이해의 기제를 잘 이해할 것을 권장한다. 듣기 이해 기제의 각 단계를 활성화하고, 크라센이 말하는 여과 기능을 순화하면 학습자는 듣기 이해력을 향상시킬 수 있다고 주장한다. 이 논문은 또 듣기 기능을 강화하기 위한 관건은 정확한 발음을 수반한 어휘력에 있다는 점을 강조하고 있다. 아울러 다양한 방언 화자의 표준 중국어를 알아듣기 위해서 중국 방언에 대한 기초 지식이 필요함도 지적하고 있다.

This article examines some important theories of L2 listening comprehension, which were proposed by Krashen (1977), Brown (2001), and Omaggio (2001) among many others. In addition, it attempts to present how to design the classes for listening comprehension and some effective classroom tasks to improve students' listening proficiency. To conclude, this article suggests the L2 learners to understand the characteristics of utterances and the mechanism of listening comprehension. Activating each step of the mechanism and intensifying filtering function will enhance L2 learners' proficiency of listening comprehension. This article points out that the crucial point to intensify listening function is to build up L2 vocabulary with accurate pronunciation. It suggests also to make L2 learners of Mandarin be familiar with Chinese dialects because many Mandarin speakers often speak Mandarin with heavy accents of their own dialects.
