디자인 조기교육전문가 양성을 위한 교육프로그램 개발에 관한 실행 연구

Abstract

디자인이 21세기 국가 경쟁력을 좌우하는 중요한 요소로 부각되고 있는 가운데 서울시교육청이 2010년부터 개정된 제7차 교육과정의 선택과목으로 중고교에 디자인과목을 신설하기로 했다. 이는 그동안 행해졌던 순수 미술교육에서 벗어나 다양하고 창의적인 디자인관련 교육을 위한 디자인교육 전문가의 수요를 의미하기도 한다. 본 연구는 이러한 사회적 요구를 실현하기 위한 실행연구를 통하여 디자인조기교육전문가 양성을 위한 교육 프로그램을 개발하는 것에 그 목적이 있다. 디자인교육 전문가 교육 프로그램 개발과정은 선행연구와 전문가집단의 직무 분석요구서를 통해 요구된 부분을 교육과정에 편성하고, 디자인교육전문가를 희망하는 디자인을 전공하거나 디자인을 전공한 대학 졸업자 24명을 대상으로 6개월간 수업을 진행하면서 프로그램에 관한 의견을 수렴하기 위해 구성원 검토과정을 지속적으로 실시하였다. 그동안 디자인교육은 미술교육의 틀 안에서 회화 및 평면작업 위주의 실기교육으로 이루어져 디자인 본연의 특징인 창의적인 표현과 대중적 공감대를 이끌어 내는 감상교육을 저해하는 단점이 있었다. 이에 본 연구에서는 연극, 영화, 글쓰기를 통한 다양한 사고 추리과정을 추가하였다. 또한 교실 속에서만 이루어지는 이론 수업이 아닌 생각하고, 느끼고, 말하고, 소통하는 교육이 주가 되고자 하였다. 현재 우리나라 정부의 중점과제가운데 하나가 ‘창의적인 인재양성’일 정도로 디자인과 관련된 창의적 교육의 중요성이 경제나 실생활에서 커지고 있지만, 전문적인 디자인조기교육전문가 양성과정이 전무한 실정에서 새롭게 구성된 디자인교육전문가 양성과정은 이러한 시대적 요구에 부응하고, 나아가 창의적인 인재양성에 이바지 할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

This study was attempted for the purpose of developing the educational program for cultivating the design-education experts in public education through researching into execution. In order to achieve the research objective, the following research procedure and the execution-research method were carried out. Through the preceding research and the expert-group opinion survey, it supplemented the insufficient part and newly installed the part with suggestion of necessity in the design education, which has been performed in the meantime. This education had a weak point of hindering the appreciation education, which elicits the creative expression and the popular sympathy, which are features peculiar to design. Accordingly, this study added the diverse thoughts and the reasoning process through a drama, movie and writing to the design-education program. Through this, the aim was to reinforce the design appreciation education that social members are together, and to allow the education of thinking and communicating to be the axis, not the theoretical instruction that is performed only in classroom. It is the real situation that there is no expert-training course at all in the professional design education in the face of being emphasized the importance of creative education related to design enough for one of the current core tasks in our country's government to be 'creative talent training.' In such sense, the newly-formed design-education expert training program is expected to be likely to meet the needs of the times and further to contribute to cultivating creative talents.
